On Monday, February 13th, the Jerome Events Committee is hosting a community events forum focused on 2012 activities in the City of Jerome. Participants will discuss upcoming Jerome Events Committee activities, identify other potential community events for the coming year, and identify events and activities that are already happening in Jerome.
There has been discussion about the demise of community events in Jerome (especially those surrounding holidays) and this meeting is the first step in reviving these activities. This meeting is open to anyone (individual, community group, business, etc) interested in participating.

We are still looking for Entertainers, Vendors, and Sponsors for this year’s Jerome Community Freedom Celebration.
We would like to have a few more local bands sign up to be on our main stage as well as a band to play part of the Street Dance. If you are interested, please contact us right away. This would be great exposure!
Additional Vendors and Sponsors are also being sought. If you have a small business, you can be a vendor. Booth spaces are ONLY $25 for standard vendors and $55 for food vendors. Electricity is available as is limited water. Look at our Vendors page on the Freedom Celebration page for contract details.
Sponsors are what allow this event to be so successful. Event Sponsors help cover the cost of the event and we in turn help promote the sponsors business. Friday 6/3/2011 at 10:00 am on the Perrine Bridge, representatives from Twin Falls and Jerome will meet on the west side and officially seal the deal for the two communities to jointly raise funds to make the 4th of July Fireworks at CSI the biggest show in the Idaho. Come join us or watch/listen to your favorite station to see/hear all about it!

If you watched KMVT this morning, you would have heard a big announcement from Ruth Pierce and Mayor Don Hall (Twin Falls) regarding the 4th of July Fireworks display here in Jerome. (It is only regarding the fireworks display, not the rest of the Freedom Celebration.)
The Jerome Events Committee has undertaken the City of Jerome Fireworks and have partnered with the Twin Falls Fireworks Committee this year.
This partnership has become the “Magic Valley Citizens’ 4th of July” and in coming years looks to bring not only Jerome and Twin Falls together, but also Filer, Buhl, Kimberly, Wendell, etc. If we could get ALL Magic Valley communities involved in this effort, imagine the fireworks display we could have!

Planning is underway for the 2011 Jerome Freedom Celebration. The Jerome Events Committee has been planning and celebrating the 4th of July for years and look forward to some of the changes happening this year.
